Of interest:
1) Jim McLarty (Thompson) was in line to play the role of Cancer Man in the X-Files, but then was actually diagnosed with cancer, and couldn't take the part (he's better now, thanks).
2) The role of Cancer Man ended up being played by fellow Canadian actor William Davis - a different William Davis (obviously) than the one who played Mata and with whom Jim co-wrote Claybourne.
3) When we approached Jim to write and act in the series, we had no idea he lived on Clayburn Road. That's just spooky.
