Thompson is a middle-management employee of Koestler Industries, a global communications firm with satellite ground stations dotted all over the world.
Dealing with the fallout of a messy breakup (and breakdown) by attempting to holiday in the New Zealand resort of Queenstown, Thompson is called back to work by a fax from head office.
Something has gone wrong at the station in Claybourne.

Of interest:
1) Bungee jumping wasn't widely known outside of New Zealand until the late 90s.
2) Driving while talking on the phone wasn't illegal yet.
3) Yes, we know that Jim McLarty (Thompson) is Canadian. We kiwis can't really tell the difference. But then you all think we sound like Australians, so I suppose we're even. In our defence, Jim is a vocal coach for Power Rangers, which gets filmed in New Zealand. He teaches kiwi kids to speak American for a living. Also, Canada is part of North America even if it's not in the USA. So there.
4) We really didn't know how to make radio drama when we started this thing. It gets better as it goes along.
