Of interest:
1) The morgue attendant is Belinda Todd. She shows up later in a much more important role. She also co-produced the series, and does the tagline "Claybourne was made with the help of your broadcasting fee...".
2) Shortly after we stopped making Claybourne, New Zealand On Air stopped being funded through a broadcasting fee, and instead began to source its revenue through general taxation.
3) All of the Maori blessings were written in consultation with the kaumatua (elder) of William's own iwi (tribe). The kaumatua also happened to be his dad.
